BRIDGE STREET BAKEHOUSE - new sponsor of the "Who Listens to the Radio' show Welcome to our new sponsor of the 'Who Listens to the Radio Show' - The Bridge Street Bakehouse. Lyttelton local Craig Minehan has been hosting this show for the last two years and his bakery in South Brighton is now getting in behind the show & Volcano Radio in more ways than one. Tune in at 5.30pm every Wednesday for 90 minutes of 'tunes from the bottom drawer'. As well as at his bakery on the corner of Bridge St & Estuary Rd in South Brighton you will find Craig and his fine selection of delicious gourmet pies at the Lyttelton Farmers Market every Saturday...check him out for the finest pie this side of the Alps...in fact you can find his wares in select stores on the other side of the Alps too. Thanks Bridge Street Bakehouse for supporting commercial free independant radio. Local & Live- Help us find good music! Do you know a great local band that you want to hear live at Volcano Radio? A big 'thank you' also to James & Stephen and the fantastic folk at the Lyttelton Coffee Company for the Music Quiz venue, Nick & Sarah at Freemans Restaurant, Digger & Debs at Monster Yakitori and Oscar at El Santo Porteno Bar for the bar tab prizes. Helen Taylor, Rebecca Lee and The Lyttelton Coffee Company and Monster Bar kindly donated artworks sold at a very successful art auction. Ray Blake from Mactodd Lawyers performed admirally at the hospitality end and cheers to Min Sarginson Real Estate & MacTodd for the printing, and of course J.Sinclair, a masterful quiz master if ever there was one! Looking forward to the next one...congrats to 'Comfortably Numb' who edged out fierce competion to come out slightly ahead at the end, but music really was the winner on the night.A great night all around...thanks to ya'll for coming to a fun & entertaining evening. CHARTFEST It all went wonderfully, thank you! Listen out to hear some of the many interviews we had with bands, and stings that you guys recorded! |
